Why a printed card beats a saved link
An assessment happens in a room, often without a phone in hand, and the figures you need are exactly the ones you will not remember accurately: which age band applies, what the gate is called, and where the secondary evaluation begins. A one-page card answers those questions on the spot, and writing your own measurements onto it turns it into a record you can compare against the next assessment rather than a set of numbers you have to look up again.
Each card carries the screen, the threshold, the age and sex table, and the physical-readiness test where one exists, plus the publication it came from so an evaluator can check the source. The military cards cover the six services; the first-responder cards cover the roles that sit outside the federal body-fat framework, where requirements are set by a state POST, a hiring agency, or an adopted consensus standard instead.
Standards are mid-transition for several services, so treat any card as a snapshot of the regulation as verified on the date printed on it. When a number on a card disagrees with what your unit or agency tells you, the unit or agency governs — the card is there to help you ask the right question, not to overrule the answer.
