The 2026 screen

Effective January 1, 2026, the Marine Corps replaced height-and-weight tables with a Waist-to-Height Ratio screen set tighter than the DoD baseline at 0.52 (waist measured at the navel ÷ height). Exceeding 0.52 triggers a body-fat evaluation (multi-site tape or BIA). Body-fat standards remain sex- and age-normed.

Body-fat limits by age and sex

Age 17–26: max 18% body fat (men), 26% (women). Age 27–39: max 19% body fat (men), 27% (women). Age 40–45: max 20% body fat (men), 28% (women). Age 46+: max 21% body fat (men), 29% (women).

High-performer allowance

PFT & CFT ≥ 285 → body-fat allowance capped at 26% (men) / 36% (women). ≥ 250 → +1% allowance (same cap).
