Body Age Estimation Method
This calculator uses a simplified multi-factor algorithm based on published health research. It computes your BMI from weight and height, then evaluates body fat percentage and activity level against population norms. Each factor contributes positively or negatively to your estimated biological age relative to your chronological age.
Factors Used in Estimation
BMI: Computed from weight and height using the standard formula. Normal BMI (18.5–24.9) is neutral; deviations add or subtract years.
Body Fat Percentage: Higher body fat (especially visceral fat) accelerates biological aging. The tool uses gender-specific healthy ranges as reference.
Activity Level: Regular physical activity is associated with younger biological age. Each activity level adjustment reflects population-based associations between exercise frequency and biological age.
Health Status Interpretation
The following table provides general guidance for interpreting the estimated body age relative to chronological age:
| Status | Body Age Difference | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Excellent | 10+ years younger | Outstanding health for your age group |
| Good | 5 – 9 years younger | Healthy lifestyle habits are paying off |
| Average | Within ±4 years | Typical for your age group |
| Below Average | 5 – 9 years older | Health risks emerging; consider lifestyle adjustments |
| Poor | 10+ years older | Significant health concerns; consult a healthcare provider |
